Who am i?

Calgary has been home since the beginning, and it’s where I first discovered my love for dance at age three. I’ve dedicated myself to training in a wide range of styles from classical ballet to commercial hip-hop, contemporary, jazz, tap, acro, and lyrical. The diversity in my training has helped me grow not only as a dancer but also as an educator, allowing me to connect with students of different backgrounds, goals, and learning styles.

My teaching career began in my teenage years, assisting in classes and participating in leadership programs within my studio. Over time, that role evolved into something much bigger. Leading me now to teach and choreograph across multiple disciplines and work closely with competitive and recreational dancers.

What drives me most as an educator is helping dancers feel confident in who they are. I am committed to creating a space where students feel safe to make mistakes, explore, and celebrate progress. I want my dancers to know that their worth isn’t defined by a performance or a placement, it’s built through hard work, courage, and showing up as their true selves.

  • My philosophy as a dance educator is rooted in empowerment, individual growth, and holistic development. I believe that every dancer deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported - physically, mentally, and emotionally. While I hold my students to high standards and encourage self-discipline and resilience, I also recognize the importance of care, compassion, and flexibility in the learning process. I reject outdated “push through” mentalities that result in unhealthy physical and emotional distress. I create an environment where dancers are encouraged to listen to their bodies, honour their mental health, and celebrate progress over perfection.

Through individualized instruction and regular evaluations, both technical and self-reflective, I help students track their development in a way that is meaningful and motivating. My classes blend structure with creativity, offering a consistent foundation while also making room for exploration, artistry, and play. By the end of their time with me, I want my students to leave not only technically stronger and more confident, but also equipped with a deeper sense of self-worth and a lifelong love for dance.
